About

AmericanaRoots.com LogoAmericanaRoots.com launched in January 2004 as a side project of Gregg Geil with the goal of consolidating music news for his personal use.  The community grew quickly thereafter with like-minded contributers like Ray Randall, Eric Banister, Don Henry Ford, John Walker, Don Zelanzy, Shaun Harvey, Susan Hatch and so many other great folks who have devoted their time for this shared passion of music.

Since it’s inception, Americana Roots, is one of the pillars of spreading the word on this scene we call Americana.  Our written reviews, detailed features and the variety of podcast shows give us the ability to showcase so much great music.

To Submit Music To AmericanaRoots.com

Each and every day, we receive dozens of CD’s from musicians all over the world. The challenge has become how to best review this music in a timely and helpful fashion for both our readers and the musicians.  Given this challenge, AmericanaRoots.com is relying on one service to help us manage this process.  The service, www.ReviewShine.com, allows you to easily submit your album in electronic form to various music related websites including AmericanaRoots.com.  In addition, this eliminate the hassle of you mailing in cd’s and reduces our costs and time re-mailing this great music out to our reviewers.  We invite you to submit your music over at ReviewShine.com and make sure you flag AmericanaRoots.com as one of the sites you electronically send your music too.  We make every effort to write quality reviews here which means it’s often impossible to review all music, so please keep that in mind when submitting to AmericanaRoots.com.
