To speak of Americana and not include the fine independent artist who keep the music alive means we’re missing out on what got us here in the first place. What would it be without the traditional and western swing of yesterday? One such entertainer is Billy Mata and the Texas Tradition. What fine entertainers and musicians and vocalist they are. Out here working on the local level to keep Western Swing going just like Bob and Milton did, as evidenced by their recent release of “This is Tommy Duncan” they have created a fine historical piece.
